Ideas and Strategies for turing around a losing soccer team.

I've been using the patches this week in my classes and the kids are nearly fighting over them to get one! What a great idea for motivating students. Aled, Physical Education Director

A way to teach your soccer players to avoid bunching up and to teach "Movement Off the Ball" is by teaching your players that when a teammate with the ball is dribbling toward them, they MUST move away from the ball in order to create space for the ballhandler and to create a passing option. Demonstrate this by dribbling toward a player who is defended while the others watch. The player you dribble toward needs to move to create space and to "pull" the defender.

We finished our house league this season and the patches have reallyworked great. All the kids proudly wore their patches on their hats, and the players on other teams kept asking them about them. Coach Rick, BC
